South Florida’s premier event returns to PGA National, Feb. 26-March 2

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – In celebration of National First Responders Day, the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches presented the Palm Beach County Police Athletic League (PAL) with brand-new golf equipment through the tournament’s Growing the Game Equipment Grant Program. Launched in August, this initiative, in partnership with the PGA TOUR Superstore, aims to provide new golf equipment to local nonprofits, making golf more accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, with the Palm Beach County Police Athletic League being the first recipient of the program.

Todd Fleming, Executive Director of the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, emphasized the tournament’s commitment to the local community, "We’re proud to celebrate National First Responders Day by giving back to the officers who dedicate themselves to keeping our community safe. Through our Growing the Game Equipment Grant Program, we aim to support the Palm Beach County Police Athletic League and their efforts to engage youth in golf.”

PAL is dedicated to fostering positive relationships between youth, law enforcement, and the broader community through recreational and educational programs designed to promote good citizenship and improve the quality of life in Palm Beach County.

Midori Robbins, a representative of the Palm Beach County Police Athletic League, stated, "The support from the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches is invaluable to our youth golf program. This equipment will allow us to expand opportunities for kids in our community to connect with law enforcement officers in a positive and engaging way. Golf is an incredible tool for building life skills, and we are excited to offer this program to even more youth, thanks to this generous donation."

The Cognizant Classic has proudly donated more than $70 million to charitable causes, including over $55 million in the 18 years since Children’s Healthcare Charity, Inc. became the official beneficiary. This commitment supports over 100 local nonprofits, enabling the tournament to enhance the lives of residents in Palm Beach and beyond. In addition to these contributions, the Cognizant Classic is dedicated to supporting the community through various programs designed to assist local nonprofits and make a positive impact year-round, including the Growing the Game Equipment Grant Program.
