South Florida natives Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland, Daniel Berger and Camilo Villegas return to the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches

The PGA TOUR’s Florida swing begins at PGA National Resort, Feb. 26 – March 2

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – Tournament officials announced today local favorites Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland, Daniel Berger and Camilo Villegas are among those set to tee it up at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches when it returns to PGA National Resort & Spa from February 26 – March 2.

“We’re excited to welcome back these four talented players to PGA National and experience the new- look to the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches,” said Executive Director Todd Fleming. “Rickie, Gary, Daniel and Camilo are hometown favorites who will no doubt generate exciting moments for our local fans during tournament week.”

A mainstay on the PGA TOUR for more than four decades, the Cognizant Classic reflects the tremendous culture and world-class golf of South Florida and boasts a star-studded list of past champions. Featured below are current season highlights for Fowler, Woodland, Berger and Villegas.

Rickie Fowler

Six-time TOUR winner Fowler will make his 15th appearance at PGA National where he earned five top-15 finishes, including a victory in 2017 (T7/2012; T13/2013; T6/2016; Won/2017; T2/2019). To secure his title at PGA National in 2017, Fowler defeated Morgan Hoffman and Woodland by four strokes for his fourth career TOUR victory. The Jupiter native looks to become the fifth player to win the event multiple times.

Gary Woodland

In his three starts of the season, current FedExCup No. 54 picked up three top-25 finishes highlighted by a T16 at the Sony Open in Hawaii (T22/AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am; T21/ WM Phoenix Open). The four-time TOUR winner will make his 11th trip to PGA National where he earned four top-10 finishes (T6/2011; T2/2017; T8/2020; T5/2022).

Daniel Berger

Current FedExCup No. 21 and World No. 59, Berger will make his ninth appearance at the Cognizant Classic where he earned three top-five finishes (2/2015; T4/2020; 4/2022). In his four starts this season, the four-time TOUR winner earned two top-25 finishes including a runner-up at WM Phoenix Open.

Camilo Villegas

Five-time TOUR winner Villegas will make his 19th appearance at the Cognizant Classic where he earned a victory in 2010. The Colombian is No. 71 in the FedExCup standings and earned his best finish of the season at The American Express (T7) following a missed cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
