
Russell Henley, Sungjae Im, Billy Horschel and Luke Clanton set to compete in the 2025 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches
The PGA TOUR’s Florida swing begins at PGA National Resort, Feb. 26 – March 2
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – Tournament officials announced today Russell Henley, Sungjae Im, Billy Horschel and Luke Clanton will tee it up at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches when it returns to PGA National Resort & Spa from February 26 – March 2.
“We’re thrilled to have these four talented players join us at PGA National for this year’s Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. Russell, Sungjae and Billy have had solid starts to their 2025 seasons and all sit in the top 25 in the Official World Golf Ranking – a testament to the strong field and intense competition we look forward to showcasing in just eight short days,” said Executive Director Todd Fleming. “We are also excited about Luke having the opportunity to secure his PGA TOUR card at the Cognizant Classic, which will undoubtedly add another layer of excitement for the Florida State phenom and local fans throughout tournament week.”
A mainstay on the PGA TOUR for more than four decades, the Cognizant Classic reflects the tremendous culture and world-class golf of South Florida and boasts a star-studded list of past champions. Featured below are current season highlights for Henley, Im, Horschel and Clanton.
Russell Henley
Making his 11th start at PGA National, Henley has earned three top-10 finishes, including a victory in 2014 (Won/2014; T8/2020; T3/2021). To secure his title in 2014, Henley outlasted Rory McIlroy, Russell Knox and Ryan Palmer in a one-hole playoff to capture his second career victory. The four-time TOUR winner is currently No. 19 in the FedExCup standings, No. 17 in the Official World Golf Ranking, and in four starts this season, has two top-10 finishes (T10/Sony Open in Hawaii; T5/AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am).
Sungjae Im
Two-time TOUR winner will make his seventh consecutive appearance at the Cognizant Classic where he has earned two top-10 finishes, including a victory in 2020 (Won/2020; T8/2021). At the 2020 Cognizant Classic, Im held off Mackenzie Hughes by one shot with his final-round 66, earning his first career TOUR victory in his 50th attempt. In his six starts this season, current FedExCup No. 12 and World No. 22 Im picked up two top-five finishes (3/The Sentry; T4/Farmers Insurance Open).
Billy Horschel
Current FedExCup No. 43 and World No. 21 Horschel will make his 13th appearance at the Cognizant Classic where he earned five top-20 finishes (T8/2016; T4/2017; T16/2019; T16/2022; T9/2024). In his six starts this season, the eight-time TOUR winner earned two top-25 finishes, highlighted by a T9 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Luke Clanton
Sponsor exemption and No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Clanton looks to secure his PGA TOUR card at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. The Florida State junior currently holds 19 points in PGA TOUR University Accelerated, just one point shy of the requisite 20th point to clinch a TOUR card after the spring season. The South Florida native will make his first official start at PGA National and fourth professional start of the season, highlighted by a T15 finish at the Farmers Insurance Open.
