Final field set for the 2025 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches

South Florida’s premier PGA TOUR event features 16 of the top 50 players in the world

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – Tournament officials announced today the field for the 2025 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, which returns to PGA National Resort & Spa from February 26 – March 2.

The 144-player field is officially set with 16 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) committed and boasts 62 PGA TOUR winners combining for 170 TOUR titles. Headlining the field is World No. 17 Russell Henley, World No. 18 Sepp Straka, 6-time PGA TOUR winner Rickie Fowler and defending champion, Austin Eckroat.

Eckroat won the 2024 event in a Monday finish due to inclement weather, holding off Erik van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee to earn his first PGA TOUR title. Since then, Eckroat has gone on to revisit the winner’s circle, capturing his second career victory at the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship. He is currently ranked No. 52 in the FedExCup standings and 44th in the world.

In addition to Eckroat, the long-standing event will feature nine other past champions including Chris Kirk (2023), Sepp Straka (2022), Sungjae Im (2020), Keith Mitchell (2019), Rickie Fowler (2017), Russell Henley (2014), Camilo Villegas (2010), Luke Donald (2006) and Matt Kuchar (2002).

Other notable players set to compete are South Florida residents Shane Lowry, Gary Woodland and Daniel Berger, 2014 FedExCup Champion Billy Horschel, 2023 Open Champion Brian Harman, 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year Matt McCarty and fan favorites Jake Knapp and Min Woo Lee.

Seven players have accepted sponsor exemptions into the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches including No. 1 amateur in the world Luke Clanton, rookies Ricky Castillo and Will Chandler, 12-time TOUR winner Zach Johnson, Texas native Pierceson Coody and Norway’s Kris Ventura. The final sponsor exemption will be distributed by Monday, Feb. 24.
