Nine-time PGA TOUR winner Brooks Koepka joins field at Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches
Shane Lowry, Adam Scott and Sahith Theegala also set to return to PGA National Resort & Spa
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – Tournament officials announced today that nine-time PGA TOUR winner Brooks Koepka has officially committed to compete in the 2026 edition of the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches alongside Shane Lowry, Adam Scott and Sahith Theegala. The TOUR’s “Florida Swing” begins at PGA National Resort & Spa, February 25 through March 1.
Koepka, a five-time major championship winner, officially returned to the PGA TOUR last week under the TOUR’s Returning Member Program. The program provides players who have achieved elite levels of performance an alternative path back to the highest tier of men’s professional golf and one that will allow Kopeka to make his first start at the Cognizant Classic since 2022.
The South Florida native released a statement confirming his acceptance of the terms of the Returning Member Program and his plans to make his return to the TOUR at the Farmers Insurance Open and the WM Phoenix Open. The Florida State alum will make his eighth start at PGA National where he has earned two top-16 finishes, including a T2 finish in 2019 (T16/2022).
Three-time TOUR winner Lowry will make his ninth appearance at the Cognizant Classic where he owns three top five finishes in his last four starts (2/2022; T5/2023; T4/2024; 11/2025). The World No. 26 looks to add his name to the stacked list of past champions.
The 2016 tournament winner Scott is set to make his first start at the Cognizant Classic since 2021 and 10th overall when it returns to PGA National. In addition to his victory in 2016, the 14-time TOUR winner owns six top 25 finishes at PGA National (T13/2021; T13/2018; T14/2017; Won/2016; T12/2014; T11/2001). The Australian looks to become the fifth player to win the event multiple times.
PGA TOUR winner Theegala will make his Cognizant Classic debut in February. The 28-year-old earned two top 25 finishes last season with a T17 finish at The Genesis Invitational and a T18 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with playing partner Aaron Rai. The California native seeks to earn his second career TOUR title and first in Florida (2023 Procore Championship).
As Palm Beach County’s best-in-class sporting event, the Cognizant Classic has something for every fan to enjoy with Daily Grounds tickets offering unparalleled value and access to several unique, open-to-the-public venues throughout the historic golf course.
