Dunlap, Eckroat, Shipley, Thorbjornsen set to tee it up at Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches
Event returns to PGA National Resort & Spa from February 25 through March 1
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida – Tournament officials announced today its next wave of commitments to the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. The TOUR’s “Florida Swing” begins at PGA National Resort & Spa, with the Champion Course set to host the TOUR stars from February 25 through March 1.
Nick Dunlap
- Marks second start at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches (T53/2024)
- Finished 134 in the 2025 FedExCup standings after collecting two top-10 finishes during the 2025 season (T10/Sony Open in Hawaii; T8/World Wide Technology Championship)
- Captured first career TOUR victory as an amateur at the 2024 American Express and subsequently accepted TOUR membership later that year; earned second career TOUR win and first as a member at the 2024 Barracuda Championship
- After two previous starts this season, currently sits at No. 136 in the FedExCup
Austin Eckroat
- 2024 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches champion will make his fourth consecutive start at the Champion Course (MC/2023; Won/2024; MC/2025)
- Earned his maiden TOUR victory at the 2024 event after defeating Erik Van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee by three strokes; held one-stroke lead when play was suspended due to darkness on Sunday and completed 11 holes on Monday in 2-under 67
- Finished No. 107 in the 2025 FedExCup standings after earning five top-24 finishes during the 2025 season (best finish: T11 (twice)/John Deere Classic and Procore Championship)
- Currently sits at No. 122 following four starts this season (best finish: T49/Farmers Insurance Open)
Neal Shipley
- Set to make Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches tournament debut
- Turned professional in 2024; earned two victories on the Korn Ferry Tour last season (The Ascendant presented by Blue and LECOM Suncoast Classic)
- In first season as PGA TOUR member (2026), currently sits No. 140 in the FedExCup standings following four starts this year (best finish: T68/WM Phoenix Open)
- In his TGL debut for The Bay Golf Club earlier this week (Feb. 9), recorded TGL’s first hole-in-one with a 54-degree wedge from 110 yards on No. 5 (Set in Stone)
Michael Thorbjornsen
- Marks second consecutive appearance at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches (T39/2025)
- Turned professional in 2024; in 40 starts as a professional on TOUR holds nine top-10 finishes including two runners-up (T2/2024 John Deere Classic; T2/2025 Corales Puntacana Championship)
- Finished No. 67 in the FedExCup Fall standings after earning five top-10 finishes during the season (T2/Corales Puntacana Championship; T4/Zurich Classic in New Orleans with playing partner Karl Vilips; T4/Rocket Classic; 3/Baycurrent Classic; T7/The RSM Classic)
- Currently sits No. 16 in the FedExCup standings after opening the season at The American Express (MC), Farmers Insurance Open (T18) and WM Phoenix Open (T3)
