When can I register?

Where do I register?

Registration will be hosted on our volunteer platform, r2. Division Directors, Committee Chairs, Hole Captains and Returning Volunteers will be emailed the link to register on their scheduled registration date.

Is there a cost to volunteer?

Yes, there is a fee of $100 to volunteer at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, but the fee covers the cost of the volunteer package which includes:

• One (1) Levelwear Polo
• One (1) Ahead Hat
• One (1) volunteer credential that can be used to gain entry to the event and volunteer parking lot.
• One (1) Lanyard
• One (1) Clear Bag
• One (1) Commemorative Pin
• Discount code to purchase tickets
• Volunteer Gift
• Meals when working

Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches volunteer package is valued at $850.

What should I do in the event of inclement weather?

Your Committee Chair will give information about where you should go in case of bad weather. Please do no presume that play is cancelled if it rains; report to your assigned duty.

Electronic leaderboards throughout the golf course will display weather warnings using a color-coded alert scale. Spectators should take precautions upon observing any weather warnings and be ready to seek safe shelter is appropriate, which may include exiting the premises.

In dangerous weather, please avoid hilltops/high places, golf carts, temporary structures, trees, and wire fencing.

What are the age requirements to volunteer?

Unless otherwise posted on the event website, or communicated by event staff, youth volunteers must be between the ages of 13-18 years of age as of the start date of the event. All other volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for a volunteer position. Some volunteer positions require 25 years of age.

What am I eligible for if I volunteer for 30 hours?

30+ Hour Perks

Volunteers who work for at least 30 hours will be eligible for Four (4) golf coupons to PGA National.

What am I eligible for if I volunteer for 18 hours?

18+ Hour Perks

Volunteers who work for at least 18 hours will be eligible for two (2) golf coupons to PGA National.

Where is volunteer parking? Do I need a parking pass?

Volunteers will park in LOT V – Mirasol Park. Your volunteer credential will serve as your parking pass.

A shuttle will bring volunteers to and from Mirasol and PGA National.

When and where can I pick up my uniform and credentials?

Uniform pick-up will be hosted at Volunteer HQ on-site at PGA National. Uniform pick-up times will be determined in advance.

If you are unable to attend Uniform Distribution or have your items picked up for you, more details and information regarding pick-up and access will be provided at a later date.

What bottoms and shoes do I wear with my uniform?

Men may wear navy pants or navy shorts. Women may wear navy pants, skirts, capris or knee-length shorts. Closed-toed shoes are required. Sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes and traditional spikes are not permitted.

What if I am unable to attend my committee training?

Please work with your Committee Chair to find an alternative solution.
